Gene Witkin is a founding partner with more than 25 years in practice, and experience in contract, tort and business litigation. A significant focus of his practice has been business insurance coverage claims and lawsuits, including funding of large or complex commercial disputes in multiple jurisdictions. The insurance practice extends to liability, property, E&O, excess-primary disputes, as well as broker conflicts and unique issues associated with additional insured claims and OCIP and CCIP policies. Gene has also trained as a mediator and arbitrator, and served for many years as an arbitrator for the Orange County Mandatory Fee Arbitration Panel.
He is an AV rated “Preeminent Attorney” by Martindale-Hubbell (highest rating) and has been selected as a "SuperLawyer" for multiple years for Southern California. Additionally, Gene has been a frequent speaker on insurance, construction and risk-transfer issues and has published multiple articles on these topics.
Gene devotes a significant amount of his time to volunteer and philanthropic activities, including Special Olympics, Best Buddies, Relay for Life and Glennwood House.
